Mother Nature: Let's put 24 hours in one day. Sounds reasonable.
Doctors: Teenagers need eight hours of sleep to function their best. Sounds reasonable.
School Boards: Let's make teenagers go to school for eight hours. Sounds reasonable.
Teachers: Let's give them 5+ hours of homework a night. Sounds reasonable.
College Administrators: Let's say that they need as many after-school extracurriculars in their four years of high school as possible. Sounds reasonable.
Psychiatrists: Teenagers need some time to themselves to stay sane and healthy. Sounds reasonable.
Teenagers: .... What is reasonable about this.
